Nazareth / Periods: Roman, Byzantine, Arabic, Crusader, Mameluke, Turks.
Located in the city of Nazareth, the white mosque is an important cultural and religious center. The white color of this mosque corresponds to holiness, uniqueness and simplicity – the main messages conveyed by the mosque. It is a meeting place for cultures, education and prayer for Muslim believers.
In 1785, part of the mosque was built during the period when Pacha al Jazzar then ruled over Acre. Indeed, it is he who is ordered to Sheikh Abdullah al-Fahum Eel-Ninni to build the mosque.
