The Golan Heights extends to the southeast of the Sea of Galilee, northeast of Israel.
This region is located between the borders of 4 countries, Lebanon to the north, Syria to the east, Jordan to the south and Israel to the West. This geographical area is a territory belonging to Israel since the Six-Day War of 1967. It is a strategic location for both Israel, Lebanon and Syria. It is one of the most spectacular landscapes of Israel, the Golan Heights are a land of beauty, far from the center of big cities and noisy shopping centers. This landscape naturally decorated with its luxuriant vegetation makes it a particularly reputable place for its internationally awarded wines, its excellent olive oil, its fruit and its cattle breeding. A ski resort on Mount Hermon attracts many tourists every year, it is the only ski resort in Israel.
Many places to visit are present on the Golan. See table below.
