Jericho / Periods: New Testament.
Founded by the hermit Euthymus “the Great” in 428AD, this monastery is located at Mishor-Adummim, on the road from Jerusalem to Jericho and the Jordan Valley. Its architecture looks like a monastery of hermits. Subsequently, work was done to make it a fortified place and more welcoming. Numerous archaeological discoveries have been made quite recently.
